Fabbri 12 gauge Majestic O/U game gun with 27" barrels

Description:
Ivo Fabbri best sidelock O/U 12-gauge game gun.  In the firearms world where “best of” is always subject to personal opinions there are specific parameters that at least narrow the candidates.  To say that Fabbri is the best gun in the world is a matter of personal preference.  To say that Fabbri makes the best live pigeon guns in the world would get more yes nods than any other “best” maker.  So, when Fabbri takes that craftsmanship and technology and makes a game gun you can be certain that it is one of the best guns in the world!

This magnificent game gun has 27” Boehler Super Blitz Steel barrels.  Fixed chokes are:  Bottom barrel is .020” Modified with an 18.5mm bore (.728”).  Top barrel is .027” Improved Modified with an 18.4mm bore (.724”).  Barrel weight is stamped 1.380kg (3 lbs. 1 oz.) which was confirmed.  The flat, finely hand-filed ventilated rib tapers from 3/8” at the 5/16” at the muzzle.

The receiver is Fabbri craftmanship and detail showcased by the magnificent Master Claudio Tomasoni full coverage engraving of Fabbri’s Majestic pattern.  The engraving features a full-bodied Griffon on each side plate and is surrounded by an intricate floral pattern.  The theme is carried on to the bottom of the receiver and starts at the trigger guard with two artistic winged women completed by floral pattern.  The Anson style forearm release is protected by a fully engraved shroud as is the forearm “iron” long tang trigger guard.  The engraved pieces stand out even more with the use of a coin finished metal on a blackened background.

The stock and forearm are, as they should be, as exceptional as the rest of the gun.  Beautifully grained and perfectly oil finished to a rich caramel color.  The English/straight grip stock has a 14 3/8” LOP to the checkered butt; 1 7/16” DAC and a 2 3/16” DAH with ¼” right hand cast at the heel and 3/8” cast at the toe.  Both the stock and the narrow forearm are flawlessly checkered at 32 lpi.

Weighing in a 7 lbs. 4 oz. it is neither too light or too heavy and since the weight is very evenly distributed the gun handles well and is lively.

Condition wise this spectacular Fabbri Game Gun appears unfired.  Finish wise it is 99% with one very small handling mark on the right side of the stock about 3” behind the checkering.

Cased in an all leather luggage case.
