THE BILLY PERDUE - FABBRI PIGEON SHOTGUN - 12 GAUGE - 30" BARRELS
Description: Offered for sale is perhaps the most celebrated pigeon gun in the history of the sport, The Billy Perdue Fabbri Shotgun in 12 gauge. Owned and shot by Billy Perdue, perhaps the most accomplished pigeon shooter in the world. This gun was built to his exacting standards by Ivo Fabbri of Italy. Detailed rose and scroll engraving. The gun features 30" Bohler Super Blitz chopper lump barrels with a weight of 1.440 and "8" (32/1000) and "10" (40/1000) chokes as original. Mirror bores are stamped 18.4 and measure .729 as original. The gun was made in 1975 (proof date code of "AA)". Well timed ejectors. Clean and smooth breech face. Closes and opens like a bank vault. Tight on face / no loose ribs / no cracks to wood. Gun was recenly restocked with well figured wood to excellent dimensions of; LOP - 14 5/8", drop at comb 1 3/8", drop at heel 1 7/8". Elegant leather covered recoil pad. The original stock and forend is included with the numerous pigeon club stickers from Billy's world wide travels. The overall weight of the gun is 7 LBS 11 5/8 OZ. No case is provided. I will include a copy of the American Shotgunner Interview I conducted from March 1979.
