SN: 251 (1979). 28 Ga. Best Quality light game gun made for ubiquitous Pittsburgh Mogul Joe Bojalad, features 27” chopper lump barrels, raised smooth concave game rib and single sighting bead. Barrel flats are stamped with 1979 Italian nitro proofs, serial number and A & S principals' marks on lump. Bottom of left tube stamped "Joe Bojalad-Pittsburgh". Coin finished sidelock action features ejectors, disk set strikers, manual safety, with a swept single non-selective trigger and rolled guard bow. Action is engraved along sides of frame onto top fence and continuing to top strap and lever with classic Italian high relief intertwined acanthus vine and ribbons with dark shaded background perfectly executed by Italian maestro Giancarlo Pedretti (1947-2017) and signed on left trigger plate. Remainder of action body and lockplates are painstakingly hand-polished to a flawless smooth surface with gold wire inlaid borders presenting a work of understated elegance. Top lever, hinge pin pivots and appended metal are relief engraved to match. Maker's name is presented inside a flowing gold riband on floorplate.
