Fox Sterlingworths in 16ga. are seen often enough. Anybody who has watched the vintage gun market realizes that the 16ga. Sterlingworth value has been discovered, as they are all built on the diminutive 20ga. frame and handle better than most all other American built 16's. The prices have gone up significantly with the really nice 16ga. guns being bought up, thereby reducing the available guns on the market. TALL GUYS TAKE NOTE! This gun, sn370540 made in 1935, is unusual because it has a FACTORY ORIGINAL BUTT STOCK WITH 15 1/4" LOP, and one of a small percentage that was shipped with ejectors, a much preferred option in today's shotgun world. The gun has been carried and hunted, evidenced by the minor marks on the wood. but it has been cared for well and the factory original metal and wood is in great condition, with over 80% factory case color. At 6 1/2lbs. and balanced dead on the hinge pin, it demonstrates the delight of a fine Fox 16 gauge! The mechanics are excellent, as are the screws and checkering, and the 28" #3 weight barrels have excellent bores, factory choked at IC/M, minimum wall thickness of 32 thousandths, and lots of original blue. This gun is priced well to sell, and will continue to gain value as you enjoy its use. Thanks for looking.
