Description: 26" SxS barrels with white front bead and slightly-concave rib, gold bands at breech, choked cylinder & tight modified. 14 1/2" pull from front trigger to checkered wood butt. 1 1/2" - 2 3/8" drop. 3/8" cast-off. Black-streaked, quarter-sawn walnut stock with snap-fastening splinter forend, checkered sidepanels, straight English grip with diamond-section wrist and fine classic point-pattern checkering with mullered borders. Action body extensively hand-file sculptured, including fences, rib-extension recess and with scalloped action back. Fine scroll engraved by Eric Gold and with five grouse flying through it on the underside. A pair of gold-inlaid roses on the side of each fence. Maker's names, serial number and SAFE inlaid in gold. Signed with a gold-inlaid SDH touchmark behind the trigger and EG under toplever, Weight: 5lbs, 7 1/2oz.
