Auguste Francotte & Cie 12 ga hand detachable SxS sidelock

Description:
12 ga Auguste Francotte & Cie SxS shotgun serial no 88596.  Ejector.  True sidelock, hand detachable side plates.  Made in early 1939, one of the last golden age guns before WWII.  Nitro barrels with Matt rib, the tubes with ornate engraving at the breaches.  2 3/4 chambers bores 1/4 and 1/2 choke.  Some external pitting but clean bores.  I have never had a problem or repair with this gun.  Trimble grip action with hidden third bite.  Manual safety with gold inlaid S.  Hand engraved acanthus with floral designs, art neauvo style.  Bright finish.  Articulated front trigger, triggers retaining blue.  14 3/8 stock.  6lbs 3 oz.  Continental all leather take down case with leather trade label.  Modern Oil can.  Please note the  Optional rubber but pad pictured is not included nor the Optional triggger buffer guard from csmc.   Fine wood cleaning rod with new brass brush head.  

A very special gun, great gun for walked up phesant hunting!  This is a very high quality Francotte, not the typical box lock or side plated box lock imported into US.  It's a Best Gun and they are tens of thousands of dollars used!!!
