Francotte 28GA Model 14E Perfect Upland Game Gun - Super Light Weight
Description: I have for sale a lovely little Francotte Model 14E (ejectors) in 28 gauge built in 1964. This gun is set up for chasing Grouse, Woodcock, or Quail, and will allow you to carry it from daylight to dark and hardly know you are carrying a gun since it weighs in at only 4 pounds 14 ounces. This little gem has 25 inch barrels with bores of .548 in both left and right barrels and .003 of constriction in both barrels for skeet and skeet chokes and having selective ejectors. The beautiful English Walnumt stock dimensions are 1 1/2 X 2 1/2 X 14 inches over a 1/2 inch solid rubber pad and measured from a rear mounted Miller selective single trigger. You could easily get 14 1/2 inches by adding a 1 inch pad to the gun. A leather covered pad would look great on this gun and would give you the longer LOP. Cast of the stock is neutral so would work for either right or left hand shooters. Gun is extremely tight on face and lockup includes a Greener cross bolt. Barrels have a beautiful ring to them so ribs are tight. Case colored receiver is scaled for gauge with case colored showing slight wear to colors on bottom of receiver and on blued trigger tang. All screws are in excellent condition. Take a look at the pictures and I think you will agree this is one lovely little upland gun which has been lightly used and very well cared for. Truely scaled 28 gauge guns are difficult to come by and this one comes from a great maker and is ready for the Woodcock coverts. Price of the gun is $6000 plus $50 shipping to your FFL. As always there is a three day non-firing inspection period with the buyer paying shipping charges if returned.
