FRANCOTTE GRADE 20, 12 GAUGE, 26" BARRELS, IMCYL. (.008) AND IM. MODIFIED (.028), 2 5/8" CHAMBERS, SINGLE BEAD SIGHT, AUTOMATIC EJECTORS. AUTO SAFETY, EXCELLENT BRIGHT BLUE, MIRROR PERFECT BORES, MATTED CONCAVE RIB WITH GOLD INLAY BAR AT THE ENGRAVED RIB EXTENSION.
SIDELOCK FRAME WITH SOME VIVID CASE COLOR, NICELY ENGRAVED WITH VERY FINE SCROLL WORK AND INTRICATE BORDERS. FENCES ARE NICELY CARVED WITH LEAF AND SCROLL PATTERN. BOTH LOCKS ARE MARKED "FRANCOTTE MAKER & PATENTEE LIEGE BELGIUM", "S" SAFETY GOLD INLAY, TOP LEVER TO THE RIGHT, TIGHT ON FACE.
PISTOL GRIP STOCK, SPLINTER FOREARM, EXTREMELY FINE CHECKERING. BEAUTIFULLY FIGURED EUROPEAN WALNUT WITH BOLD BLACK STREAKS. HORN BUTTPLATE, ENGRAVED SCREWS, 1 1/4" X 1 7/8" X 14 1/4", 6 POUNDS 3 OUNCES. ONLY FLAW IS A SLIVER OF WOOD MISSING FROM THE RIGHT FRONT OF THE FOREARM. VERY HIGH QUALITY EUROPEAN DOUBLE, PROBABLY PRE-WWII PRODUCTION. ALL ORIGINAL CONDITION.
