This beautiful Husqvarna 48 round body back action hammer gun is a joy to carry with long 29.5" steel barrels with excellent bores, choked m/xf and 2 5/8" chambers. Husky's have a reputation for being very stout, but this slim gun only weighs 6lbs 3oz! First one I've seen this light. It definitely feels like a small 16 frame with 12ga barrels. I've converted it to straight grip and recut with fancy checkering and added a Silvers pad to modern dimensions of 1 5/8 x 2 3/8 x 14.5. Actions are crisp, with tight lockup and excellent mechanics. Wood is solid, no cracks. Overall, the gun is in excellent condition except for some rust spotting on the receiver and barrels, which have been re-blued, and while the ribs appear tight, the barrels don't ring. Definitely shootable as is. It's a great shooter, and worthy of having the rib fixed. If not for that, I would be asking $1850 for it. Otherwise, no issues or surprises, just a beautiful gun you will be happy to own. Would make an excellent all-around field gun.
