The right barrel is smoothbore into which a 24ga shell fits perfectly, the left barrel is an unknown large caliber approx. 56 cal. with 6 groove rifling, the break-open lever rests on the trigger guard and pulls to the right, overall fine condition with a damascus twist pattern, tight action and excellent bores, no rust or dings, the action metal is 85% covered with fine engraving, 2 triggers, a 2 leaf rear sight and a dovetailed front sight, a horn grip extension off the trigger guard and horn forearm cap, a steel butt plate with 3 engraved screws, the wood is fancy burl walnut and a checkpiece for a righthanded shooter, The name Springer in Wien is on each hammer lock, on the rib is Joh Springer KK Kammer Gewehr Lieterant in Wien, the forearm is mostly all checkered and all around the grip, the checkering is in as new condition, this gun appears all original and super condition
