Purdey hammer ejector, 30" nitro proof barrels of Sir Joseph Whitworth steel feature a raised game rib choked Improved cylinder both barrels, (.010/.010).  Built in 1895 as a back action hammer ejector ( the same year the famed Lord Ripon guns were completed), indeed a rare find.  Wonderful rose and scroll engraving with vibrant case colors make for stunning visual delight.  Straight hand stock of fabulous exhibition bold flowing black figure streaming across the rich honey colored background.  Measures 1-1/2" comb, 2-1/2" heel, 15" LOP over a 1" leather pad.  The picture of Victorian elegance by the most prestigious name in gunmaking, and a survivor of the the era of BIG SHOTS.  6 lbs 11oz.  Leather VC case with Maker's label.
