This is a rare and impressive H. Holland 10 Gauge back-action hammer side-by-side shotgun. It features the desirable Jones rotary underlever, non-rebounding back-action locks, and 30" barrels with open chokes — an ideal configuration for waterfowl or live pigeon shooting in its era.
The action displays scroll and border engraving with strong traces of original color remaining in protected areas. The checkered walnut straight-grip stock has a comfortable 14 5/8" length of pull.
Condition is very good overall with honest original character and a tight, functional action. It comes with a later canvas carry case and a period newspaper/magazine clipping featuring the gun.
