A distinguished and historically significant Holland & Holland “Royal Ejector” Sidelock Double 12 Gauge, manufactured pre-1898 and now antique under federal law. Built on Holland's signature 7-pin hand-detachable sidelock action, this gun is engraved in classic Rose & Scroll, with “ROYAL EJECTOR” clearly marked on the underside. The rib is engraved:
"HOLLAND & HOLLAND 98 NEW BOND STREET LONDON."
Recently sleeved and nitro reproofed, the 28" barrels have been choked Modified & Improved Cylinder, and are set up with 2 ½" chambers, double triggers, and automatic ejectors. The gun is tight, well-balanced, and in field-ready condition, with attention paid to both mechanical reliability and aesthetic restoration.

Condition: Extremely fine as expertly refreshed. Barrels show 98% blue finish, with brilliant bores and modern nitro proofs. Action remains tight on face, and engraving is crisp overall, with minor softness on underside. Stocks are excellent, full-sized, with slight handling at wrist. Mechanically excellent and fully functional—a gorgeous, shootable example of the Holland “Royal.”
A highly desirable London best gun, combining pre-1898 antique status with tasteful and functional modern restoration. Suitable for both collectors and traditional game shooters alike.
