• Maker & Provenance: During the 1880s, Holland & Holland did not have its own dedicated factory (it established one in 1893). Therefore, many guns from this era, including Climax models, were built in Birmingham by premier trade makers, such as Webley & Scott, and finished to H&H specifications.
• Design & Quality: They are considered very well-built guns, featuring early safety mechanisms. While perhaps not a "Best" London-made Royal, they represent excellent quality craftsmanship for their era.
