Description:
Early turn of the century Holland & Holland No 2 side by side, hand detachable sidelock, chambered for 2 3/4" 12 Gauge shells. This example has 28" barrels with ejectors, fixed chokes (1/4 and 3/4), and a smooth concave rib with a front bead sight. The barrels have duel under bites with a concealed third fastener. The right barrel is marked "HOLLAND & HOLLAND". The left barrel is marked "13, BRUTON STREET, LONDON". The barrels have been updated to handle modern cartridges and marked with a matching serial number "15952". The frame and sidelocks are engraved with a clear decorative English scroll, gold-inlaid "SAFE" on the automatic safety switch, gold inlay cocking indicators, with "Holland & Holland" engraved at the bottoms of the sidelock plates. The bottom of the receiver is marked "No 2 MODEL / EJECTOR". The stock set is a two piece high grade checkered walnut with a round knob grip and splinter forend, and a leather wrapped recoil pad. Stock measurements (DC -"1 5/8", DH - "2 1/4", Cast "5/16"). Comes with a leather Holland & Holland travel case with cleaning rods and a serrated butt plate. The butt plate may be the original one? The gun remains in overall great condition for its age, most likely updated by Holland & Holland. 12 Gauge

Metal Condition: "The receiver shows traces of case color in the trigger area. The barrels rate about 95%, showing minor scuff marks on the right barrel finish with scattered fine scratches thought. The trigger bow shows minor finish wear on the edges ""85%
Wood Condition: "The stock set rates about 95% or better with a few light marks, nothing major.
Bore Condition: Bright bores with excellent surfaces.
