Description:
EXTRA BARREL SET, 29" BARRELS - BOTH, IMPROVED CYLINDER AND MODIFIED, MODIFIED & IMPROVED MODIFIED, 2-3/4", DOUBLE TRIGGERS - FRONT ARTICULATED,  STRAIGHT HAND GRIP, SPLINTER FOREND, LEATHER COVERED RECOIL PAD, 6 LBS 4 OZ, 6 LBS 5 OZ 1-1/2" DAC, 2-1/4" DAH, 14-3/8" LOP

English made sidelock ejector 12 gauge pigeon gun with two 29" blacked round nitro proved chopper-lump barrels that are fit with ejectors, tapered matte flat top ribs and steel bead front sights. Both barrels are proved for 2-3/4" cartridges. Barrel set 1 is choked improved cylinder while barrel set 2 is choked modified and improved modified. The right barrels are roll marked: 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND' while the left barrels are roll marked: '98, NEW BOND STREET, LONDON.'. Each barrel set has the numbers '1' & '2' respectively upon rib near the breech. The coin finished action body and lockplates are engraved in a pigeon pattern with a total of 7 pigeons- there are 3 pigeons per lockplate, 3 pigeons on the bottom of the action's body and 1 pigeon on the trigger guard and supporting foliate scrolls. Both lockplates are engraved "HOLLAND & HOLLAND" in banners and 'MODELE DE LUXE' on bottom of the action body. The left side cross pin cover is engraved "MADE IN ENGLAND". The action is fit with carved and beaded fences, hidden third fastener (treble grip), side clips, Holland & Holland's patent assisted opening mechanism, Holland's patent hand detachable locks, gold lined cocking indicators, an engraved coin finished top lever marked with the left side of the thumbpiece checkered and an automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' ahead of the checkered and engraved safety slide. The double triggers with the front being articulated are protected by a an engraved, coin finished right side rolled trigger guard ending in a long bottom strap with the gun's serial number. Deluxe quality straight hand diamond grip walnut stock with drop points, gold-inlaid initials on toe line of the stock ('M with J" that has a cross at the top), and a splinter fore-end with Anson type push button release. 14-3/8" LOP to a 3/4" leather covered recoil pad, 7 Lbs. - 4 Oz. wiht barrel 1 and 7 Lbs. - 5 Oz. with barrel 2. The gun resides in the maker's oak & leather case.
