Exceptionally fine Holloway & Naughton 12bore W/case

Description:
An extremely fine and well built gun with 30” demi-bloc barrels that have slightly raised matted solid rib with small brass front bead. Rib engraved “HOLLOWAY & NAUGHTON ENGLAND”. Polished flats with proof stamps and dated “07”. Small ring of engraving around breech ends and brl lump. Finely figured three piece walnut forend is very nicely point pattern checkered and has blued & scroll engraved Deeley latch release and iron. Boss style over/under coin finished action is beautifully engraved featuring two partridge in woods scene on left surrounded by scroll & wave border pattern, two pheasants in corn field on right, maker’s name in gold banner towards front of locks. Frame is nicely relief shaded scroll engraved with flying woodcock on bottom. Beaded fences and top tang are scroll engraved en-suite. Gold inlaid “SAFE” ahead of the safety slide and brl selector with gold inlaid “O” & “U” in the safety button. Blued rolled edge long tang trigger guard is nicely relief scroll engraved in about 70% coverage. Gold inlaid “H&N 12-102” on tang. Gun made with SST, auto ejectors, non-auto safety. Horn capped pistol grip finely figured stump walnut buttstock is checkered in point pattern through the wrist, has gold oval on toeline, and terminates with a black leather covered pad. Gun is housed in its maker’s original brown leather case with red felt interior. Case with proper bone handle turn screws, snap caps, and oil bottle. 

This gun remains in extremely fine original condition showing limited use. Retains 99% original finishes throughout. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are excellent. Case is excellent. An absolutely gorgeous gun with wonderful fit and finish!
