Husqvarna 103CS 12ga sxs hammer gun
Description: This Swedish beauty has been mostly restored, with re-blued barrels, and refinished/re-checkered stock with new Galazan pad. Husqvarna made firearms from the 1600's until the 1970's and they are one of the best kept secrets in gun collecting. The Husqvarna 103 series sidelock hammer guns came in three grades, A,B,C, with C being the highest engraving level offered. This 103CS straight grip is the one everyone wants, with beautiful scroll engraving and Swedish Special Steel barrels, proofed to over 9 tons (about 30k psi). This example, made in 1919, has 29.5" barrels with very good bores that would polish to excellent, f/f chokes, tight ribs, and 2 5/8" chambers. These barrels are very stout, and there are no issues shooting off the shelf mild to moderate 2.75" loads in this gun. There are two very small dings on the left tube by the swivel which barely show in the bore. Easily removed. Tight lever right lockup, crisp, tight actions, rebounding hammers, firing pins are smooth and don't stick, excellent mechanically. This gun is overall in excellent condition as refinished, save for the two tiny dings. Weighs 6.12lbs. I've patterned the gun and both barrels shoot exactly to point of aim. I shot a couple rounds of trap and skeet with it, and it shoots lights out, even with the tight chokes. If I didn't already have a Husky 12 I shoot well, I would be keeping this one. You will love this gun. The well-worn but usable leather hard case is included, and the gun will ship with it inside. I have the sling swivel loops and will include those also.
