This shotgun will make an excellent option for home defense, small game, or shooting around at the range. We believe this model to be a 1947 production, these shotguns were used in World War II, Korea and, Vietnam as a trench gun because of its slam fire capability. The Model 37 was also use by various police departments, mostly in crowd control situations. The action is very smooth and is followed by a light crisp trigger break. 20 Gauge
