Description:
In the early 1930s John Olin At Winchester was developing a 10 gauge 3 1/2 inch magnum shotgun shell. He asked Lou Smith at Ithaca gun to design a Shotgun for it. Serial numbers started at 500,000. This is one of those guns. It is a grade 2 and totally original condition without any alterations. Made in the mid 30s is one of approximately 160 in this grade. It has 32 inch barrels choked full and full and has selective ejectors! The bores and mechanics are excellent. The LOP is 14 1/8 inches over the original Ithaca pad, which is still in decent condition. The DAC is 1 9/16" and the DH is 2 1/2". The top lever is to the right. The original blue is excellent and the case colors are fairly well. Represented on the sides and worn on the bottom. Wood is very good and retains 85% of its original finish. The pictures will explain what I mean. This is not only an excellent collectors gun, but it's still very useful in the field. It has taken a number of turkeys in the last 10 years.
