Description:
The Ithaca New Ithaca Gun (NIG) offered here, serial number 8660, was made in 1887. It miraculously retains over 90% original finish. It retains virtually 100% barrel and stock finish but case colors, though visible on most  of the action, are faded in some areas. This12 gauge gun weighs about 8 pounds, has 32 inch fine twist barrels both choked full. The Ithaca ”Falling Ducks” HRBP appears new. LOP is 14”; DC is 1 ¾”; and DH is 3”. Locks are crisp and bores perfect. In this condition it is rare find for the Ithaca collector.
  The New Ithica Gun (NIG) was offered starting in 1885 and produced up until about 1908 – possibly later. It replaced the Baker model which was made from1885 -87. The NIG underwent numerous small modifications over its 25 years of production. This is the first type 2nd variation with the V main spring.
