Ithaca ~ Mag-10 Standard ~ 10 Gauge
Description: The first-ever semi-automatic 10 gauge shotgun, the Ithaca Mag-10 was made by the historied Ithaca Gun Company in 1975. The shotgun is gas-operated and uses a unique "CounterCoil" recoil system built into the magazine tube. This system helps to place follow-up shots more quickly and easier, but also reduced the capacity to two shells in the tube. The Mag-10 was available in a few different trims and variants, including a deluxe engraved version, a slug gun for deer hunting, and a law enforcement version called the "Roadblocker." The Mag-10 was discontinued by 1989, when Remington bought the design and used it to make their SP-10 shotgun. This shotgun for sale is a standard model with a matte parkerized finish, plain walnut furniture, and 32" barrel with fixed full choke and ventilated grooved rib with single white bead. This shotgun is also fitted with a Pachmayr White Line buttpad. The serial number dates this gun to somewhere in the 1976-1978 ballpark. The overall condition of this shotgun is quite good. The barrel is clean inside, without rust or pitting. The operating mechanisms are also in good condition and don't show an excessive amount of wear. The furniture shows some marks of usage, but there are no significant cracks or dents in the wood. The finish is missing on parts of the trigger guard and at the edge of the muzzle and thinning along the barrel. There is some light rust on the underside of the rib and on the barrel surface near where the rib attaches at a couple of points. The rib also has a small dent near the receiver and the endcap is missing the sling swivel stud and has some paint on it. However, the gun otherwise has no significant issues and mainly exhibits typical wear marks. 10 Gauge SOLD Chambers: 3 1/2 Metal Condition: Good Wood Condition: Good Bore Condition: Good Barrels: 32 Stock Dimensions: 14" LOP Fore End: Walnut Butt Pad: Rubber Pachmayr White Line Presentation Weight: 11 lbs 2 oz Sights: Ventilated grooved rib with single white bead Chokes: Fixed full choke Item Location: Kearney, NE |
