Serial Number: S6281533
This Ithaca SKB280, serial number S6281533 features excellent workmanship in wood to metal fit, a precisely engineered scalloped blued boxlock action with hand cut checkering. There are remains of gold fill in the hand cut engraving which represents an upland scene with scrollwork and borders. The SKB280 was manufactured between 1969-1978, they are well regarded for their solid and dependable actions, this side by side was built to last and dollar for dollar offers great value! This example has excellent 98% factory bluing with 25” solid rib barrel, mirror bores, 3” chambers and is choked IC/M. The gun has a beavertail forend and an English stock, the wood shows some field marks, it is furnished with a Pachmayr ventilated recoil pad. It has a selective trigger and timed ejectors.
