Superb original Ithaca Grade 2E 12ga- The ultimate Ithaca Target Gun

I've seen a lot of Ithaca guns and always wondered why they were never as collected as the other major American makers. With the Cody Firearms museum getting ready to roll out a new research letter service on them in the coming months, I think the time to buy Ithaca's is now before people realize how cool they are and how much history will be made available!
This gun is an absolute killer Grade 2. Made with 32" Krupp Steel barrels and splinter forend, this has to have been a special order gun. The straight grip buttstock is nicely checkered and terminates with the thick original Ithaca Gun Co buttplate. The gun is engraved in typical Grade II pattern.
This mighty gun tips the scales at 8lbs even and has original 2-7/8 chambers. obviously made for heavy target shooting! It also has surprisingly high dimensions with a 14-3/4" LOP, and drops of 1-1/2" x 2-1/4". Both barrels measure .727 and both barrels have heavy Modified chokes at .033.
The gun remains in exception original condition, as seen in the photos, with more than 90% bold original case color. Stocks and barrels retain nearly all of their original finish. The gun is tight and crisp with brilliant shiny bores.
