Krieghoff K80 12 Gauge – CROWN, REICH ENGRAVED, COMBO, vintage firearms inc
General Specs: Krieghoff, Year 2000+-, 12 Gauge, 8lbs 14oz; 9lbs, Chokes F; M/IM
Serial Number: 12725
The Krieghoff K-80 has become the most popular competition gun in the United States. The receiver on the K80 is CNC machined from solid forged steel, then meticulously hand fit and finished by the best of German gunmakers. Krieghoff makes the K80 12ga. gun in many models, differing mostly in the amount of decoration, the action being the same on their least or most expensive guns. The K-80 is a heavy gun, meant to be shot pre-mounted, providing a smooth swing and less felt recoil. This K-80, SN12725 built around the year 2000, is a Crown Grade, one of Krieghoff’s highest standard offerings, and REMAINS IN AS-NEW CONDITION, with no primer rings around the firing pin bushings and not a single mark in the wood or checkering. The over/under barrels show no wear, with even the hard edges of the vent rib and ends of the muzzle still showing all of the factory blue. The unsingle barrel does have some storage marks near the muzzle. There is also assembly scratches on both sets of barrels where the forearm contacts the barrels. There is no handling or wear on the action or trigger guard…they remain as new. Sold as a K-80 Trap Special Combo with a 34” Unsingle trap barrel choked full, and a set of 32” over/under barrels with fixed chokes M/IM, this CROWN GRADE WAS ADORNED BY THE MOST DESIRED ENGRAVER IN THE KRIEGHOFF STABLE, GERHARD REICH. The action is dark blue with 8 large bold, raised gold game inlays, the Broken Clay gold inlay on top of the action, and the typical gold Crown inlay on the bottom of the action. The mechanics are excellent in every way, with the barrels tight on the trunnions and the top lever well right of center. The gold trigger has no wear or signs of use. The stunning, highly figured stock has the adjustable comb, minor palm swell on both right and left side of pistol grip (neutral stock), and has 14 ½” LOP to the fully adjustable ISIS RECOIL butt pad. The combo set is cased in the factory Negrini hard case with all paperwork and tools, and the case is as new as well. We have a certified Krieghoff gunsmith working for us full time. We can make any alterations to this K-80 that you may wish for an added cost. From my understanding, Gerhard Reich is no longer taking on new projects, so those that collect his work are going to be very attracted to this fine Krieghoff. We have priced this K-80 at a fraction of the cost of a new Crown combo, leaving you the opportunity to own a Reich engraved Crown Grade and still have plenty of room to invest in a new set of barrels, an action upgrade, etc and still have an equity position in the gun. This is a great investment opportunity and one that is far more rewarding than a 401K! Thanks for looking.
