This is an Eagle grade made in 1912, right at the transition between the numbered and named models. It has 30" Damascus barrels that have one hundred years of patina on them and they are choked L = full and R = IM with 2-3/4" chambers. The stock is some of the most gorgeous English walnut that the Hunter Bros ever put on a gun. The stock has a 15-1/8" LOP to the first trigger with a 1-3/4" drop at the comb and a 3" drop at the heal. The long length of pull negates the 3" drop and the gun mounts wonderfully. It has a 3 position safety, although one wonders why. The ejectors are strong and timed correctly. This gun is in very good condition because it appears that it has not been shot much. The bores are clean and shiny and the checkering is beautiful. Own a piece of history.
