Vintage Cases - This is a fabulous gun that features one of my favorite English patents to open the breech. You operate the underlever like a Jones lever but as you do this the barrels slide directly away from the breech for about 3/8" then the barrels drop down opening the gun. Closing the gun it is quite trick to watch, the barrels slide back tight against the breech as the lever is closed. There is quite a lot of pitting in both bores in the first half of the barrels but nothing really deep to my eye. The barrels are massive thick with plenty of room to have this removed if one wanted.
This is an extremely high quality and high end gun from approximately 1860.
