1941 L. C. Smith field grade .410 double gun
Description:
This Smith has original 26 inch barrels and was made in 1941. The barrels have about 99 1/2 % original dark blue on them. It has the original buttplate and grip cap. All serial numbers match. Extractors and double triggers. The wood has exceptionally nice grain for a field grade. As you can see from the photo's: most of the case colors have faded out or are very light except in protected areas, there is peppering on areas of the frame and some very light streaks on the metal where it appears someone may have rubbed some steel wool over it in places (not too visable), The stock has what appears to be a coating of Tru Oil applied to it and the checkering has been gone over. I don't believe the stock had been sanded as none of the wood is below the metal, and over all a beautiful job has been done on it. The opening lever is way to the right. It doesn't look like it was shot much. I orginally bought this about 40 years ago and thought I'd have it engraved but never got to it. C & R or FFL required. Shipping and ins. $50.
