Smith 410 Field Grade Featherweight Made 1947, 28" extractor Armor steel barrels with a rib extension third bite, .409 .013 & .013" (Imp.Mod. & Imp.Mod), 3" chambers, Single selective trigger, Splinter forend with a tension snap release, Pistol grip stock at 13 3/4 x 1 3/8 x 2 1/2" over the original factory hard buttplate, 6 lbs. 5 oz., Original grip cap, Nice wood for a Field Grade, No Engraving, Original barrel blue at 80%, Original Case Colors remaining at 80%, The wood at 95% with oil added only and absolutely was not sanded, The checkering at 80%, The bores are excellent plus, It remains tight on the face with the toplever well to the right, The barrels ring with a very nice chime, All the screws are near excellent. This is a doggone nice late L. C. Smith in very solid mechanical condition. In the Field Grade there were a total of 2,375 410's made.
