Description:
Serious upgrades. Made in 1948. I bought it a few years ago but I can’t hit anything with a double barrel. I just bought it because it has some unique upgrades. Double triggers. 28” barrels marked Armor Steel. No dents and no notable scratches on them. Apparently re-blued but nice work. 2.75” chambers. Metal rib spacer appears to have been gold inlayed. Bores are shiny with minimal marks. Serial #FWS34027. FWS is Featherweight Extractor. Unknown Grade due to upgrade modifications, I defer to the LC experts. A former owner ground off the grade designation stamps. The action locks up tight, as LC’s are known for. Everything functions flawlessly. The wood is a fancy walnut upgrade with a stunning grain pattern. The only flaws in the wood I can see are a very tiny chip of wood missing along the top tang, and some small faint “water spots” in the varnish of the rear stock, which you can see in the photos. There are no cracks. There are no noticeable scratches or indentations except one small one at the end of the fore-end. Sharp checkering. The receiver, lock plates, trigger guard etc. have a relatively scratch-free shiny nickel finish with lots of well-done engraving. The start of the barrels and vent rib have engraving as well. My guess is that as a unique curio creation, someone spent quite a bit of money and had this firearm done up as some kind of pigeon-grade clone. See all photos, this one is definitely interesting, that’s why I bought it. I’ve had my fun showing it off, and I’ve only put four rounds through it, so since I am not getting any more use out of it I am going to pass it on. This one loves the camera, I have 50 photos that I will provide to a SERIOUS buyer. I have a video clip of it in operation at the range that I can provide as well. As one can see, the work done to this one wouldn’t have been cheap, and the gun had decent value to start with, so I feel I am pricing fairly. First $1225 gets it. Terms are as per this Description section and our correspondence. Cash only if Local sale. For local sale I will only sell to anyone who is verified to purchase a firearm so I would need to see either a FFL, or Neb Firearm Purchase Certificate, and ID, just like it's done at most auuctions/shows. Neb Concealed Carry Permit works as well. If you are from out of state but can make the drive to Lincoln, NE, there is an FFL in my locale that will do the transfer. I will ship to an FFL If you do not have your own FFL you must contact your FFL provider and ensure that they will accept firearms for transfer that come from a private individual like me that does not have an FFL. I can provide them a copy of my ID. I will also need contact info for your receiving FFL so that I can arrange shipping with them. If I'm shipping the firearm, payment for the firearm and shipping combined is by Bank Cashier's Check ONLY. Shipping is to only the lower 48 and is a flat fee of 65 dollars.
