Description:
Marlin-era Featherweight Field, 16GA, 2 3/4" chambers, 28" barrels, choked .011" and .025" with bright, clean bores, double triggers and extractors. Serial number is FWS 25xxx, tight lockup,a good bit of case hardening color remains, screws are in good shape, lots of barrel blue, almost all of the original triggerguard blue remains and much of the wood's original varnish is still there. The stock has been cut and 1 1/2" Silver's replica pad installed (no, I did not do the installation), bringing the pull length to 14", or 15" with the included slip-on pad. There is the beginning of a crack at the right side of the top tang. Aside from that, there are no mechanical issues and the gun is ready for the field.
Selling this gun on consignment for a client, it is priced to go and there are no returns on this gun, so ask questions and look at the photos before deciding.
