Scarce L.C. Smith Quality 4 12ga - fine early gun!
Description: Rare early 12ga Quality 4 gun made with 32" Damascus barrels. Checkered splinter forend with horn tip. Gun made with double triggers, extractor and non-auto safety. Gun is nicely engraved, likely by A.E. Spangler with birds and scroll on locks and scroll elsewhere on frame. French walnut buttstock is nicely figured and has capped pistol grip and terminates with early "LC Smith Trap Gun" buttplate. Overall, the gun remains in pleasing condition. The receiver retains most of its nicely restored case hardened finish. Barrels are very good with about 75% original Damascus pattern remaining. Stocks are very good as restored. Gun locks up fairly tight though lever does come to rest slightly left of center. Bores are very good with orange peel. This fine early L.C. Smith Quality 4 is priced at $1995 plus shipping to your door as an antique. Please dont hesitate to contact me at (704) 280-2382 or via PM on this site with any questions or reasonable offers on this fine early high grade Smith.
