This Lefever “A Grade” (Model 5) is in absolutely brand new - unfired condition - including 100% vivid fctory case colors.. They were produced from 1935 to 1940. This gun, SN 301284, was made in 1935, and comes with a special-order single trigger, factory original Ithaca recoil pad, and 26” barrels choked IC/M. Weighing in at a svelte 6lbs. 8oz. and balanced delightfully on the hinge pin, with great modern shooting dimensions (14” LOP from a middle trigger position, 2 5/8” drop at heel, 1 ½” drop at comb), you will find this a very attractive, affordable little 16ga. vintage American double that will serve you well for decades to come. The LOP is measured from a rear-position single trigger. If this gun were a two trigger gun with the same wood the LOP would be about 14 1/2". In view of the extrordinay condition of this gun it belongs in a collection. But it would make someone a great grause, quail and wood cock gun.
