Lefever Arms Co., Syracuse, NY GE grade 12 ga with 2 ¾” chambers and 30 inch fine Damascus barrels bored full & modified. This gun is in good condition with a very nicely refinished stock. The checkering has been expertly recut. It is tight on face and functions perfectly. There are no remaining case colors, but all metal is clean without rust or corrosion. The Damascus barrels have very good pattern, no dents and the bores are bright but have some light pitting that should not greatly affect shooting. About 0.005” would clean-up said pitting. Length of pull over original HRBP = 14 “, DC =1 5/8” and DH = 2 ¾”. Weight is about 7 ½ pounds. Serial number 40240 (1901). At that time all Lefever guns were guaranteed for smokeless nitro powder. 2 3/4 dram, 1 1/8 oz loads or less reccomended.
