Description:
D.M. Lefever-- Rare 20 b. 0-Excelsior Grade with extremely late production highly figured English walnut and ejectors.
 28" Barrels are "Imperial Steel" and chocked Cyl. & Cyl.**  LOP : 14", DAH: 2-5/8",  DAC: 1-3/8",  Prince of Wales grip.
 Horn forend tip, Marbles sight, Weight: 5lbs. -- 11.4 Oz.

    According to Bob Elliot's  "Lefever-- Guns Of Lasting Fame", there were only an estimated 1150 cross-bolt Lefevers made in all grades.
    Since this gun ( Ser. No. 1299  ) was certainly made at or near the very end of production, the materials and options normally reserved only
for the higher graded guns were used rather than let them go unused:  Such as the finest wood blanks with hand-rubbed finish, horn grip caps, forend tips, escutcheons and
other options like Ejectors and Best Barrels.  You will see in these photos that all were used to build this gun.
