Lefever G grade 12 gauge 30" Damascus
Description:
This is a Lefever G grade sideplate model in 12 gauge with 30 inch Damascus barrels. The bores are bright and shiny with no pits. The grade is marked on the water table. It is choked IC/Full and it has 2-5/8" chambers, which are made for shooting 2-3/4" shells. It is a boxlock action with cocking indicators on each side and double triggers with extractors. It has a checkered pistol grip stock and a checkered snap on forend with a decorative metal tip. It has some of the best figured wood on any Lefever, appearing to be quarter sawn to show a matching pattern on each side of the stock. The LOP is 14-1/2" to the end of the recoil pad. All finishes are original. According to the book, it was made in 1901 and it weighs 7 lbs 6 oz. As you can see, it has a great deal of case colors remaining on the sideplates and the frame. It swings and points wonderfully and powders targets. I have been shooting the new Winchester AAs of 1145 fps in it and it is very comfortable to shoot.
