LeFever G Grade Sideplate Model 16 Gauge with 28” Damascus Barrels
Description: *** SOLD *** This solid Lefever Arms Co. G Grade 16 gauge upland double number 48056 was made in the first years of the twentieth century and weighs in at 6lb 9oz. It has highly figured Damascus barrels and nicely figured American walnut stock and forearm. All original with factory pistol grip knob, factory buttplate, auto safety, and residual case coloring. Overall in solid working condition. Needs a little cosmetic attention. *** The 28” Damascus barrels have a top extension, extractors, and their original chamber length of 2-9/16” The bores are shiny and bright. There is evidence of a few professionally repaired barrel dents and some scratches on the exterior of the tubes. They are topped by a raised solid wide crosshatched rib. The right barrel is bored 0.670 with a constriction of 0.005 for Improved Cylinder choke. The left barrel is bored 0.672 and also has a constriction of 0.005 for Improved Cylinder choke. A great choice for the avid upland gunner and good for clays as well. *** The pistol grip stock and splinter forearm are made of figured American walnut and feature a factory pistol grip cap and factory buttplate. Stock dimensions are 14” including the thin Lefever buttplate by 1-5/8” by 2-5/8”. Neutral cast. *** This season walk with history in your hands through the Fall woods. Shoot a double like your grandfather did and drift back to a simpler but more elegant time. Lots of nostalgia for not a lot of money. *** Please note that the photographs are part of the description. Not for sale where prohibited by state or local laws. Buyer is responsible for all shipping, insurance, and any other related charges. I give a 3-day non-firing inspection period which begins when it arrives at the buyer’s FFL or specified address if the gun is classified as an Antique. Returns at buyer’s expense. SOLD |
