Scarce Lefever CE Grade with 26 Inch Krupp Barrels, Highly figured Walnut, Ejectors, Made 1907

Guns by Sally-always the best for less. We are real proud to offer this stunning example of a high grade from Uncle Dan Lefever. The grades of C and above rarely surface on the market, as I believe most are locked away in long term collections. These doubles are highly sought after because of the high build quality, fantastic engraving, and built in adjustments to always keep them fresh. The genius of Daniel Lefever produced the first successful hammerless shotgun in 1880, and a host of other design features in his guns. Ironically, he left Lefever Arms in 1901, and died in 1906. This fine double was made in the year of our Lord 1907. She certainly doesn't look 118 years old. The steel has drifted to patina, silvered out in some places, with a few flashes of blue on the receiver. She locks up tight, with the lever residing to the right of center. My photos do not do justice to the typically fine Lefever engraving, and you will enjoy it more with the gun in your hands. The highly figured walnut is simply gorgeous, very well fitting, with ebony inserts intact. The stock is capped off with a nicely checkered horn butt plate, fastened with engraved screws. The bores of the very hard to find 26 inch barrels are very good, choked full and improved cylinder. Yes, the muzzles touch, the keels are factory, and she has 3 full inches of choke. The barrel length is original, folks. The drops are 1 ¾ and 2 ¾ inches, with an LOP of 14 inches. She tips the scales at a mere 6 pounds. The ejectors toss the empties with authority, and the safety is automatic. The chambers are 2 ½ inches. Because of the scarcity of the fine doubles, they have always achieved high value. If you have been looking for the right Lefever to collect, or for investment, but want the added clout of a 26 inch barreled C grade, then look no further.
