One of the great rarities in all of Lefever collecting - a gun found in extremely fine high original condition. This gun, probably made in the early 1890's with large cocking hook. Gun built with 32" Damascus barrels. Splinter forend is nicely point pattern checkered with horn tip and engraved pushbutton release. Casehardened sidelock receiver is nicely engraved with game scenes on sides, light scroll on bottom, and has sculpted fences and bottom rails. Blued long tang trigger guard is also nicely engraved. Gun built with pivot opening top lever. Capped pistol grip buttstock is point pattern checkered and terminates with its original LAC monogramed buttplate. 

Gun remains in spectacular original condition and is the finest example of an early production D Grade we have examined! Barrels with 96-98% original damascus pattern. Stocks are sound and crisp with original finishes and only have minor handling marks. Locks with virtually all of their bold original case colors, balance of frame with more than 90% original case colors remaining. Mechanics are crisp and this gun has seen very very limited use.
