Marlin had some nice engraving on these old shotguns. A panel scene on the left side shows some Mallards flying out of a slough. Nice tight scrolling around the scene. Top of the receiver has the matted panel. Right hand side also has nice engraving of a couple of partridge in flight. Gun is equipped with a special smokeless steel 30" bbl. Still quite a little finish remaining on the receiver. Some blue left on bbl with the remainder turning an antique brown color. An exceptional bore. Nice bright and shiny. Wood cond matches being VG. There is a recoil pad added. A decent looking 12 ga!
