"CASED MERKEL 303EL 12 GAUGE 2 BARREL SET (L2026-02248)
Description:
"SN: 90365, made in East Germany circa 1960's-70's. 12 gauge over under 2 barrel set with both barrels being 28"" vent rib with 2 3/4"" chambers, barrel #1 has Briley thin wall removable chokes while barrel #2 has fixed chokes measuring .004/.004. Fully engraved side lock action with deep relief traditional German game scenes, Holland & Holland style detachable lock plates, auto-ejectors, selective single trigger and a manual safety. Nicely figured checkered walnut furniture with a 3 piece forearm, capped pistol grip stock with a cheek piece, carved band around the butt and a 14.5"" LOP to the original butt plate with a drop of 1 1/2"" to 2 1/8"" and an overall weight of 7lbs 7oz. Overall in very good condition, only some minor handling marks on the furniture and barrel and the bores are excellent. Comes with leather luggage case, extra chokes and choke wrench.
