THE WOOD IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE , NEVER HAVING BEEN REPAIRED OR REFINISHED AND HAS A VERY CLEAR GHD CROSS CANNON CARTUCHE. THE ORIGINAL 6 RIVET HEAT SHIELD IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE AS WELL. THE ACTION WORKS PERFECTLY. ORDNANCE BOMB PROOF ON TOP OF BARREL. BARREL IS "42" DATED UNDERNEATH . ALL NUMBERS MATCH WITH NO GAPS AT THE END OF THE MAG TUBE OR FRONT OF THE BAYONET LUG. THIS IS ONE OF THE BETTER CORRECT ORIGINALS YOU WILL FIND AND IS C&R ELIGIBLE.
