WW2 WWII Savage model 220 Military Gunnery Trainer Shotgun not Trench or Riot.  


Selling a great condition Savage model 220 single shot military gunnery trainer shotgun that was made for the military during WWII, estimated dates of mfg., 1937-1946.


The condition of this military trainer shotgun is extremely nice and 100% factory original.  You can see this from the pictures.  No rust, no pitting.
Speaking with folks on a Savage forum, all Savage model 220 shotgun left the factory with engraving on both sides of the receiver and the bottom of the receiver.   This model 220 only has the engraving on the bottom of the receiver which is extremely rare and very unusual for this shotgun.  The site manager of the Savage forum said he had only every seen one other like this.


The shotgun is marked U.S. Property on the left side of the stock, and it also has the military rack location number (25) on the bottom of the receiver (see pics).  This let anyone using the gun know, it should go back in the shotgun trainer rack in location/slot #25.


Very few encountered with the rack number on them from what I could uncover.  Spectacular piece for your military collection or even your gun collection.
