Condition: Pre-Owned — 85% Condition

A Japanese-built Miroku MK-38 Trap from 2000, chambered in 12 gauge with 30" fixed-choke barrels in Improved Modified and Full and the broad flat-topped ventilated trap rib this model is known for. The silver-finished receiver carries crisp machine-cut scroll on both side panels, the top tang and the belly, and the action is solid. Condition is 85%: there is a chip in the wood at the top of the stock where it meets the receiver, minor scratches and handling marks throughout the walnut, and minor bluing wear on the metal with some mottling in the bluing toward the muzzle. The aftermarket KICK-EEZ recoil pad is chipped at one end and scuffed across the face.

Forend: Slim rounded walnut forend, checkered on the underside in a long panel with pointed front and rear borders; fine scratches and small marks on both sides

Action: Boxlock over/under break action, a direct evolution of the Browning Superposed design; automatic ejectors; single non-selective trigger; manual safety

Receiver: Silver coin finish; machine-cut foliate scroll engraving on both side panels — an oval central panel of leaf and scroll with scroll clusters at the four corners, beaded floral bands top and bottom, and a single rosette flower medallion at the lower rear corner of each panel; scroll on the top tang and around the top lever with a small fan motif at the front of the tang; the belly is engraved in a scroll-bordered panel reading B.C.MIROKU over MK-38 TRAP, with a second scroll cartouche behind it; top lever with checkered black thumbpiece inlay; made in Japan

Rib: Broad flat-topped ventilated rib with a shallow center channel, running full length to the muzzle; black front bead

Barrel: 30" monobloc, back-bored, blued; minor bluing wear with some mottling in the bluing toward the muzzle

Proof Marks: 2 3/4" chambers; importer marked LCL INC., Scottsdale AZ on the right side of the lower barrel
