The 590S is designed for the ultimate in shooting flexibility with a modified action optimized to fire standard shells in addition to mini shotshells. With this new action any combination of 1.75-inch, 2.75-inch, or 3.0-inch shells can be loaded and fired reliably without the need or a mini shell adaptor. The receiver features an optic ready cut designed to interface with optics sharing the Shield RMSc footprint. The barrel is compatible with the Accu-Choke system of shotgun chokes.

This model features an all-black finish and a 3-inch chamber. The stock sports an adjustable length of pull with the included spacers. The magazine tube has a 9-round capacity when loaded with mini shot shells.
