Description:
Outfitted for tactical situations such as home defense, law enforcement use, security, or for action shooting competitions, the Mossberg 500 ATI Tactical edition takes a durable and proven Mossberg 500 Security shotgun in 12 gauge with an 18 ½" barrel and dresses it up in everything ATI Tactical has to offer in accessories. The Mossberg 500 ATI Tactical has abandoned the stock polymer corncob forend and fixed stock for an upgraded stippled Akita forend, stippled T3 pistol grip with rubber backstrap, and 6-position buffer tube with T3 Tactlite adjustable stock with rubber buttpad. The receiver is outfitted with ATI's Halo Gen 2 aluminum side saddle system, allowing nine additional shells to be stored on the gun. A picatinny optic rail is attached to the receiver to allow for scopes or red dot optics to be added. The barrel is covered by an ATI Halo Gen 2 steel heat shield with picatinny side rails for attaching light and laser units to the front end of the gun. The heat shield also features an integrated fixed front sight post. The barrel, of course, still has its single brass front bead, should the heat shield and optics rail be removed. This tactical Mossberg's barrel is bored for up to 3" shell lengths and has a fixed cylinder choke. The magazine tube will hold up to 5 shells, plus one in the chamber for a half dozen shells on tap at any moment. The safety is located on the tang of the gun for easy access with either hand and features Mossberg's new upgraded oversized lever for easier actuation. The shotgun has been very lightly used and only exhibits some usage marks on the polymer accessories. Otherwise, the gun looks almost new on the inside.
