Mossberg 500 ZMB Edition -12 Gauge – 20" Barrel – Blackhawk Knoxx SpecOps Stock

This very nicely upgraded Mossberg 500 ZMB (Zombie) Edition comes to us as a consignment sale. The owner purchased this gun new in 2013 (serial # U290228) and never fired it. What he did do (and this is a really nice upgrade) is add a Blackhawk Knoxx Spec Ops Gen II stock. More on that in just a bit.

The shotgun itself is a pump action 12 Gauge with a 20 inch barrel. That slightly longer barrel with the full length magazine tube allows you to load up with seven rounds of 2-3/4" shells with another in the chamber. That’s a lot of firepower. The gun is chambered for either 2-3/4" or 3" shells so you can decide exactly how you want to load it out. The barrel is a Cylinder bore and has a brass bead front sight. An easy to reach tang safety is comfortable for either right or left handed shooters. The Mossberg 500 is simple, but reliable, and a great choice for either home defense or zombie zilling.

The shock absorbing stock that we mentioned earlier is a great addition to the shotgun. This bolt on package greatly increases shooter comfort by reducing recoil by as much as 85 percent. The collapsible/adjustable stock has a number of different positions that length of pull and comfort is just right. LOP can range from 11.25" to 15". It also has a pistol grip with rubber inserts for improved grip and greater comfort. A sling can be added either by Quick Detach point or via a sling swivel. To complete the package, a replacement polymer forend give you a great grip surface. The Gen II stock packages ran $250 when they were in production. The Gen II versions are out of production and a Gen III variant can cost as much as $379. You can save the money and the hassle of adding the package since it’s already there and ready for use.

The shotgun is in overall Excellent – Near Mint condition, as the pictures show. We even see an absence of storage marks with just normal marks from racking the slide. The bore is Minty and the barrel is very bright, as you’d expect.

At this price, you’re getting a great package deal. With that shock absorbing stock, you can spend all day shooting targets or mowing down the largest horde of zombies and not feel the pain from repeated recoil in your shoulder. If a tactical shotgun has been on your wish list, this might be just what you were after.

Sling mounting options include an Ambidextrous Sling Loop Receiver End Plate for single point slings as well as an Ambidextrous Quick Detach Sling Swivel Socket. The SpecOps replacement polymer forend features a comfortable, tactile gripping surface for confident and sure operation of the shotgun‚s pump action mechanism.

Purchase includes the shotgun and owner’s manual only. No other items are included in the sale.

This is a consignment sale and, like all of our consignments, we have not test fired this shotgun. We have performed our function checks and find no issues to report. As with all pre-owned firearm purchases, please review the photos carefully so that you are comfortable with the condition of the shotgun.
