Fine original condition Parker Gr. 3 10 bore - original 2 barrel set with orig. case
Description: UPDATED - Made in 1884 for Reverend P.J. Kearney of Fulton, NY, this rare gun is found today exactly as it letters from 135 years ago! The gun is a Grade 3 top lever 10 bore two barrel set (one 32" one 28") and ordered with an original case which still accompanies the gun today. Reverend Kearney is easily googled and a photo of him accompanies the outfit. Made with capped pistol grip, skeleton buttplate, and splinter forend. The gun remains in excellent original condition with the barrels retaining more than 95% bold pattern. Action retains about 45% color and engraving is crisp as we expect on a well taken care of gun. Stocks retain about 80% of their original finish with minor nicks and bumps, but nothing offensive. Both forends have great checkering as does the buttstock, and all are original and untouched. Bores across the board are bright and shiny with only the faintest beginnings of orange peel. This gun comes with its original Parker two barrel set case with original accessories as seen in the photos. The case has the original straps, though replacements are now on it for safety. The leather is quite good and this is easily one of the nicer original trunk cases I have seen. One additional thing worthy of mention on this outstanding outfit - the 28" barrels are mismatched Damascus and are beautiful and unusual. I have seen this on some other Parkers but it is rarely seen and makes the gun even more interesting. There is a 1993 dated letter from Cdr. Roy Gunther on this gun also included as well as the PGCA letter identifying the gun as found today. Here are the technical specs on the gun: 14-3/8" LOP over original skeleton BP DAC: 2" DAH: 2-7/8" 9lbs 14oz with 32" brrls 8lbs 9oz with 28" barrels 32" Barrels- .794 with .028(Rt) and .781 with .028 (left) (both barrels MWT .045) 28" barrels- .794 (both brls) w/.015 choke in both brls. MWT .037 rt and .035 left 2-7/8" original chambers This gun is priced at $7000 shipped to your door.
