Parker PH 12 Gauge – 1892, FACTORY UNTOUCHED HIGH CONDITION, vintage firearms inc
Description: General Specs: Parker, Year 1892, 12 Gauge, 7lbs 11oz, Chokes F/F, LOP 14 1/4", DAH 3 7/16", DAC 1 15/16", ANTIQUE Serial Number: 74342 It is a new year, and you want a Parker to add to your collection of fine shotguns for hunting, sporting clays events, and to improve your collection, but which one to choose? There are LOTS of Parker guns for sale, but most have issues of one sort or another, and some of the issues are serious. Many have barrels that have badly pitted bores, are loose on the hinge pin and rattle on the action’s breech face, and worst of all, thin barrel walls that make shooting dangerous. Others have broken stocks that have been repaired or replaced. Most all the antique Parker guns have been used hard and have little factory original condition remaining. For those that want a Parker that is solid as a rock, mechanically excellent in every way, with all original parts, and IN 90%+++ FACTORY ORIGINAL CONDITION with a solid GUARANTEE FROM THE SELLER, we offer you this Parker PH Grade 12ga., sn74342 built in 1892 (an antique and can be shipped to any address in the U.S. without government control). This gun is built on the smaller #1 frame with 30” Twist Steel barrels choked F/F, having excellent bores with only a hint of light frost with the balance shiny and smooth. You can see the specifications of this gun below, but the minimum barrel wall thickness anywhere on the barrels is 38 thousandths which is very substantial. THIS PARKER IS SAFE TO SHOOT WITH MODERATE MODERN 2 ½” CLASSIC SHOTSHELLS FROM RST, or any other 2 ½” loads that have up to 1 1/8 ounce of shot and 1200 fps velocity. The Parker PH had a light scroll engraving pattern that added some class to the action. The engraving on this Parker is sharp and clear, the case color shows strong at 85%, the screws are near perfect, and the wood-to-metal fit is impeccable. The wood finish is factory original and almost 100% with only a few handling marks, the factory dogs head buttplate shows no wear and clear sharp checkering and markings, and the checkering is original and sharp. The barrels show 95% vivid, factory original black and white pattern with no dents or dings. Even the charcoal blue on the trigger guard remains 98%, and that is unusual for a Parker as their trigger guard blue often flakes off over time. THIS IS ONE OF THE NICEST PARKER ANTIQUE GUNS YOU WILL EVER SEE AND IS A SUPERB REPRESENTATION OF THE PARKER PH GRADE GUN. Best of all this is a very affordable Parker that you can add to your collection, and it will continue to increase in value as time goes by. After all, they aren’t making any more of them, right? Thanks for looking and don’t miss out on this amazing 130-year-old Parker gun.
