**Sale Pending** Parker Reproductions, A-1 Special Custom, not to be confused with the standard A-1 Special model, the Custom version was set aside as 2 barrel sets only and were special order custom hand engraving with the best wood, the easy way to pick these guns out is that the actions have the deep carved fences and typically pierced top levers but the fences are the notable difference that can't be changed, 12 bore, 2 barrel set, 2 3/4" chambers, barrels have wide concave machined game ribs and rib extensions, breech end scroll engraving with gold line, smaller muzzle end engraving, dual ivory beads, ejectors, with 28" barrels gun weight is 7 lbs. even, with 26" barrels an ounce less at 6 lbs. 15 oz., sculpted case hardened boxlock action with deep relief carved fences, lovely acanthus scroll carved top lever, top tang automatic safety with "Safe" in gold, action profusely scroll engraved with game scenes of pointers on the left and setters on the right, bottom with a pointer and setter along with a setter's head with a grouse in it's mouth, pierced triggers guard with a woodcock, long trigger guard extension, double gold triggers, 15 1/4" LOP over a leather pad, 1 5/8" DAC, 2" DAH, neutral cast, extraordinary crotch figured walnut stock with raised checkered side panels and raised fleur de lis, extraordinary ornately bordered fine 32 lpi checkering, vacant gold oval. Comes with original canvas and leather trimmed hard case as well as a custom oak and leather hard case as pictured. This gun was owned by a high end case maker and the case was made for it by him. Condition: very near new condition, we believe the gun to have been shot but shows virtually no wear or handling, finishes are all at or near 100%, the only notes are that the original Parker Repro case has had the felt removed from inside the lid and the custom case has a few marks on the outside and one partitition cover is missing it's screw on brass knob.
